Embedded Edition

CardSoft Secure Passport Embedded Edition offers an ideal solution for standalone terminals and similar devices used to process transactions using smart cards. Embedded Edition is designed specifically to run on devices with limited memory, processor speed, and/or storage. For instance, the Embedded Edition uses a Java technology virtual machine that requires less than half the memory of other systems.

Embedded Edition includes both the CardSoft eAppliance Development Environment (eADE) as well as the CardSoft eAppliance STIP Profile (eASP). The CardSoft STIP (Small Terminal Interoperability Platform) implementation adheres to the specifications endorsed by Global Platform and the banking industry. CardSoft is the first company to release a commercial product based on the STIP 2.2 specification.
